【摘要】:Thistestisparticularlysuitedtocontrolanddevelopmentwork.Dataobtainedbythistestmethodmaynotbeusedtopredictthebehaviorofplasticmaterialsatelevatedtemperaturesexceptinapplicationsinwhichthefactorsoftime,temperature,methodofloading,andfiberstressaresimilartothosespecifiedinthistestmethod.Thedataarenotintendedforuseindesignorpredictingenduranceatelevatedtemperatures.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthetemperatureatwhichanarbitrarydeformationoccurswhenspecimensaresubjectedtoanarbitrarysetoftestingconditions.1.2Thistestmethodappliestomoldedandsheetmaterialsavailableinthicknessesof3mm[1/8in.]orgreaterandwhicharerigidorsemirigidatnormaltemperature.Note18212;Sheetstocklessthan3mm[0.125in.]butmorethan1mm[0.040in.]inthicknessmaybetestedbyuseofacompositesamplehavingaminimumthicknessof3mm.Thelaminaemustbeofuniformstressdistribution.Onetypeofcompositespecimenhasbeenpreparedbycementingtheendsofthelaminaetogetherandthensmoothingtheedgeswithsandpaper.Thedirectionofloadingshallbeperpendiculartotheedgesoftheindividuallaminae.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninbracketsareforinformationonly.1.4Duetothepotentialsafetyandenvironmentalhazardsassociatedwithmercury-filledthermometers,theuseofalternativetemperaturemeasuringdevices(suchasthermocouplesorRTDs)isencouraged.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note28212;ThetestmethoddescribedasaMethodBofthistestmethod,andtestmethodsAeandBeofISO75-1andISO75-2,1993,aretechnicallyequivalent.
