【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedtosimulatethecorrosionprocessofnon-ferrousmetalsindiesellubricants.Thecorrosionprocessunderinvestigationisthatbelievedtobeinducedprimarilybyinappropriatelubricantchemistryratherthanlubricantdegradationorcontamination.Thistestmethodhasbeenfoundtocorrelatewithanextensivefleetdatabasecontainingcorrosion-inducedcamandbearingfailures.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstestingdieselenginelubricantstodeterminetheirtendencytocorrodevariousmetals,specificallyalloysofleadandcoppercommonlyusedincamfollowersandbearings.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
