【摘要】:ThispartofISO12966specifiesarapidbase-catalysedtransesterificationmethodforfatsandoilswithtrimethylsulfoniumhydroxide(TMSH)topreparefattyacidmethylesters.Themethodisexclusivelyapplicabletothepreparationofmethylestersoffatsandoilsforgasliquidchromatographic(GLC)analysis.Itisapplicabletoallfatsandoilsincludingmilkfatandblendscontainingmilkfat.Isomerizationofunsaturatedfattyacidsonlyoccurstoaminorextentandisomerizedfattyacidsareonlypresentatthedeterminationlimit.Asisomerizationtakesplace,theprocedureisnotrecommendedforconjugatedlinoleicacid(CLA).AsCLAisnotcorrectlyanalysed,thismethodisnotapplicabletothedeterminationofthecompletefattyacidcompositionofmilkfatsamples.Onlyabout70%to80%ofthefreefattyacidsareesterified.Inthecaseofconjugatedcyclopropylandcyclopropenylfattyacids,sidereactionsmayoccur,butthesedonotinterferewiththedeterminationofthefattyacids.NOTEThispartofISO12966isbaseduponGermanStandardMethodC-VI11e(98)(seeReference[8]).
