【摘要】:Thedeterminationofthetensileforce-elongationvaluesofgeogridsprovidesindexpropertyvalues.Thistestmethodshallbeusedforqualitycontrolandacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsofgeogrids.Incasesofdisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingthistestmethodforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandsuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimenswhichareashomogeneousaspossibleandwhicharefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Theaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingstudent’t-testforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforethetestingbegan.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandsuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultsinlightoftheknownbias.Allgeogridscanbetestedbyanyofthesemethods.Somemodificationoftechniquesmaybenecessaryforagivengeogriddependinguponitsphysicalmake-up.Specialadaptationsmaybenecessarywithstronggeogrids,multiplelayeredgeogrids,orgeogridsthattendtoslipintheclampsorthosewhichtendtobedamagedbytheclamps.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofthetensilestrengthpropertiesofgeogridsbysubjectingstripsofvaryingwidthtotensileloading.1.2Threealternativeproceduresareprovidedtodeterminethetensilestrength,asfollows:1.2.1MethodA--Testingasinglegeogridribintension(Norlbf).1.2.2MethodB--Testingmultiplegeogridribsintension(kN/morlbf/ft).1.2.3MethodC--Testingmultiplelayersofmultiplegeogridribsintension(kN/morlbf/ft)1.3Thistestmethodisintendedforqualitycontrolandconformancetestingofgeogrids.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundvaluesstatedinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
