【摘要】:Thispracticecoverstheuseofdynamic-mechanical-oscillationinstrumentationforgatheringandreportingthethermaladvancementofcurebehaviorofthermosettingresin.Itmaybeusedfordeterminingthecurepropertiesofunsupportedresinsandresinssupportedonsubstratesandsubjectedtovariousoscillatorydeformations.Thesedeformationsmaybeinshearorthedynamiccompressionofsupportedresinsusingadynamicmechanicalinstrument.Thispracticeisintendedtoprovidemeansfordeterminingthecurebehaviorofsupportedandunsupportedthermosettingresinsoverarangeoftemperaturesbyfreevibrationandresonantandnonresonantforced-vibrationtechniques,inaccordancewithPracticeD4065.Plotsofmodulus,curebehavior,tandelta,anddampingindexasafunctionoftime/temperatureareindicativeofthethermaladvancementorcurecharacteristicsofaresin.Thispracticeisvalidforawiderangeoffrequencies,typicallyfrom0.01to100Hz.However,itisstronglyrecommendedthatlow-frequencytestconditions,generallybelow1.5Hz,willgeneratemoredefinitivecure-behaviorinformation.Thispracticeisintendedforresin/substratecompositesthathaveanuncuredeffectiveelasticmodulusinsheargreaterthan0.5MPa.Apparentdiscrepanciesmayariseinresultsobtainedunderdifferingexperimentalconditions.Theseapparentdifferencesfromresultsobservedinanotherstudycanusuallybereconciled,withoutchangingtheobserveddata,byreportinginfull(asdescribedinthispractice)theconditionsunderwhichthedatawereobtained.Duetopossibleinstrumentationcompliance,especiallyinthecompressivemode,thedatageneratedmayindicaterelativeandnotnecessarilyabsolutepropertyvalues.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninNote5.Note1-ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.
