【摘要】:Significance8212;ThistestmethodprovidesameanstomeasurethecompatibilityofagiventransparencythroughwhichNVGsareusedatnighttoviewoutside,nighttimeambientilluminatednaturalscenes.Use8212;Thistestmethodmaybeusedonanytransparentpart,includingsamplecoupons.Itisprimarilyintendedforuseonlarge,curved,orthickpartsthatmayalreadybeinstalled(forexample,windscreensonaircraft).1.1ThistestmethodcoversapparatusesandproceduresthataresuitableformeasuringtheNVG-weightedtransmissivityoftransparentpartsincludingthosethatarelarge,thick,curved,oralreadyinstalled.Thistestmethodissensitivetotransparenciesthatvaryintransmissivityasafunctionofwavelength.1.2Sincethetransmissivity(ortransmissioncoefficient)isaratiooftworadiancevalues,ithasnounits.Theunitsofradiancerecordedintheintermediatestepsofthistestmethodarenotcritical;anyrecognizedunitsofradiance(forexample,watts/m2-str)maybeused,aslongasitisconsistent.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
